The Data and System Protection Platform is responsible for ensuring that appropriate and adequate data and system security controls are identified and implemented at MSD. We are primarily a planning and engineering function within the broader IT Risk Management and Security department.


We strive to manage a significant project load, deploying our solutions to the global enterprise, while at the same time providing advanced level operational support, and guidance to the business on the areas where we maintain our expertise.


Primary job responsibilities include:

  • Lead several planning activities, along with maintaining key documents resulting from these
  • Lead the Demand Management process for the Platform (assist Data and System Protection leadership with appropriate staff assignments and resource utilization)
  • Ensure all our documents are appropriate, effective, structured and easily consumable for all the stakeholders
  • Structure the master documentation and repositories to ensure we are maintaining adequate, up-to-date, effective and easily referenced records of data and system protection services
  • Act as a liaison to the Security Operations area
  • Ensure all global processes are followed: incident, problem and change management
  • Ensure DSP is audit compliant with all processes and policies within the company
  • Create business facing materials
  • Audit management support for projects
  • Maintain Product lifecycle management for the security engineering tools
  • Create business cases
  • Experience/understanding of SDLC and add oversight of SDLC within Cybersecurity Engineering
  • Coordinate and participate in various customer reference calls, peer group conversations and other internal and external organizational conversations
  • Manage and coordinate several partners/ vendors etc.

We are seeking a professional with the following qualifications, skills and experience:


Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BS in Information Security, Computer Science or similar field
  • ITIL certification

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in IT, especially in cybersecurity, with demonstrated leadership in working in and managing a complex environment
  • Highly structured and organized
  • Must be self-motivated, have strong collaboration skills, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships within their organization and external to their organization
  • Proven skills for creating visual representations of IT systems for various audience levels (i.e. technicians to senior executives)
  • Experience working with multi-cultural and multi-location team members
  • Solid leadership qualities and work well in a highly diverse environment
  • People management and vendor management experience
  • Must have excellent English verbal and written skills
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced knowledge of ITIL processes and experience with implementation of new processes
  • Experience within the Cyber Security application familiarity in the endpoint protection, network protection and data protection areas

What Personal Information is used and how long is it retained?

Taleo is hosted by a third party vendor, Oracle, based in the United States. Oracle may also use additional third party vendors to process personal data. Oracle has contractually committed to protect Personal Information and to process it only as instructed by our company, including the destruction of the Personal Information at the end of the retention period. Oracle has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework for processing employee related Personal Information.
Access to Personal Information may be from within the country in which the individual to whom the data relates is based, or from any other country in which an authorized user of Taleo is based. While the country from which information is accessed may not have laws that protect Personal Information in the same way as the country in which you are based, all Personal Information in Taleo will be used in accordance with the Global Privacy Notice for Employment-Related purposes , any local privacy notices you receive, all applicable company policies with respect to the privacy and confidentiality of Personal Information, including, but not limited to our Global Privacy and Data Protection Policy and our Global Internet Privacy Policy and any additional requirements of the countries in which the employees to whom the data relate are based.

 

How do I update, correct or delete Personal Information in Taleo?

You have the right to access, rectify and delete your Personal Information that you provide and maintain in your Taleo Profile at any time. You can also request that the information be removed from our database by contacting the company’s Privacy Office. At any time you may decide no longer to use Taleo, raise a concern or make a complaint about your privacy or use or sharing of Personal Information about you by contacting the company’s Privacy Office.
